Submitting same flight to multiple virtual airlines (prohibited).

SECTION 2 – GETTING STARTED

2.1 Pilot Requirements

Technical Requirements

Pilots must legally own at least one flight simulation platform:

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator (FSX / FS2020 / FS2024)
  • Prepar3D (all versions)
  • X-Plane (X-Plane 11 or later)

Membership Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18
  • Valid and active email address
  • Acceptance of KONFOR VA SOP document
  • Acceptance of Code of Conduct

2.2 Software Installation

ACARS Installation Steps:

  1. 1. Download ACARS software recommended by KONFOR VA
  2. 2. Install appropriate connector:
    • • X-Plane: XPUIPC
    • • MSFS / FSX / P3D: FSUIPC
  3. 3. Install software and restart simulator
Note: ACARS usage is recommended; Manual PIREP submission permitted if technical issues occur.

2.3 Fleet Information

Long-haul operations

2.4 Your First Flight

1 Phase 1 – Flight Selection

  • • Select appropriate aircraft and route
  • • Choose scheduled or charter flight

2 Phase 2 – Flight Planning

  • • Prepare flight plan (SimBrief)
  • • Perform fuel and weight calculations

3 Phase 3 – Flight and Tracking

  • • Start flight using ACARS
  • • Complete flight per SOP rules
  • • Submit PIREP after flight

SECTION 3 – FLIGHT OPERATIONS

3.1 Flight Types

Scheduled Flight

Pre-planned flights defined in system by KONFOR VA. Based on real airline operations with pre-defined airports, times, and aircraft types.

Recommended for realistic operations

Tour Flight

Multi-leg flights built around a concept with pre-defined sequential legs. Explore regions following a theme.

For consistent flying habits

Charter (Free) Flight

Maximum flexibility - freely choose departure and arrival airports. Ideal for training and free flying.

Recommended for beginners

3.2 Flight Planning with SimBrief

KONFOR VA recommends using SimBrief for flight planning. SimBrief integration works with phpVMS system.

Time and Format

  • UTC format required
  • SimBrief default settings
  • ±30 min tolerance

Aircraft Selection

  • Correct ICAO code
  • Realistic registration
  • Matching performance profile

Flight Process:

  1. 1. Launch ACARS client and configure settings
  2. 2. Select flight in ACARS
  3. 3. Load simulator at correct airport/aircraft
  4. 4. Press "Start Flight"
  5. 5. Complete flight according to SOP
  6. 6. Press "End Flight" at parking

3.4 PIREP Criteria and Scoring

KONFOR VA uses automatic PIREP scoring to ensure realistic and professional flight standards.

Monitored Violations:

  • Lighting procedures
  • Taxi speed
  • Excessive G-force
